I've never been, but would like to go. What makes Tokyo amazing?

I dunno it's kinda like entering the Matrix the first time you go to Tokyo/Japan. The food is amazing and the culture is interesting. I also really like Anime when I was younger and that was huge when I went I was 21 y/o.

you actually consider it very high tech?

I felt like I was back in the 90s in many areas lol
Tech wise it’s strange

on the one hand you have talking toilets that play music, robots that greet you as you walk in a store, and VR porn booths.

and on the other hand you have mostly cash only driven restaurant/retail establishments, a society that still widely uses fax machines, and business and bank transactions that can only be completed by using a personal stamp as your signature (Hanko)

Yea seriously

I have not seen a long lineup for an ATM at a bank in years until I was in japan. Also arcades centres and vending machines you have to use to order food at a restaurant. I felt like I was in a futuristic version of the 90s.

However I did enjoy my time there.
