Alright, I know this isn't muscle but I've been having a problem with the cd player recently. Whenever I try to eject cd's, it says CD Error and just stops ejecting. Today, I switched from one cd to another and it totally jammed up. Now, whenever I try to play, switch, or eject a cd, it just makes a clicking noise and says CD Error. Anyone know the cause of this and a possible way of fixing it? :hs:

Cliffs: CD Player says CD Error whenever I try to eject, play, or switch cd's and makes a clicking noise like it's trying to work but doesn't do shit.

Nah, I think I'm just going to take it into Ford and see what they say. I don't want to have to buy a new one if we can just get it fixed.

way more than it's worth. You could buy probably 3-5 good aftermarket decks for the price of a cheap factory one.

If you really want OEM-look, then try ebay. I sold my Tundra's 6-disc unit for $175 and on a 10-day auction they guy bought-it-now on the 2nd day!

common problem with the ford 6 disc in-dash players. My girlfriend's mustang has it, my mustang had it, and i'm pretty sure alot of others have it too.

replace it with an aftermarket one.

if you go to the explorer forums, im sure a member there with an aftermarket deck will sell you their OEM deck ass cheap. also hit up car-parts.com and search there.

my 03 focus 6 cd player clicks when you first put a cd in. Say you put it in the 1st slot and it clicks, just switch like youre going to listen to the second slot then go back to the first slot, sounds complicated but it should work.
