Seems like an alright car. Lots of guys are procharging them too.
How would 4.10s in this compare to a 5L mustang? I hope they'd be less tall overall.
And a chevy cobalt is not magnetic
i remember i was working at ford when those first came out...we used to turn them on and rev them and just watch the shaker hood
i liked them though
they look good in blue too
if you want to get beat by an LS1
Theres a local Mach with just a catback and stickys and hes pulling 12.6-12.7s and he daily drives it no problem
My buddy's `00 SS can only muster 13.3s...but we are hoping its a 12 sec car with a tire.
I was considering an SS, but I think these look better and have more modern interiors. Plus they're cheaper to buy with low km.
I wouldn't plan on keeping the Mach 1 stock, mid to high 11's would be the goal.
FYI, at out track a stock Mach 1 traps 101mph, a stock LS1 traps 103mph, so they're pretty close.
04 Cobra does 104mph here.
I like them, and the blue is hot.
they are nice but 03-04 cobra is better. forged internals FTW
Meh, these are less expensive, they launch better with the lack of IRS, they're lighter (aluminum block) and have better suspension and brakes too. I can get a low mile Mach 1 for $18.5k US get either turbo kit built for it here in Canada, or buy a blower and make 420whp.
Plus I don't like the roots blower sound.
It can be
I have 3.55s in my 5L now which I really like. The red one at the top is for sale and has 4.10s, but the Mach also revs to 6800. Any input on 4.10s in these for a DD?
bolt-on mach's with a 4.10 definitely move out good on the street...they will hang with/pull away from LS1's with similar mods.
what kind of DD do you do?
I have a friend with a stock one and it's pretty nice. His is blue.
Do I do?
do u do?
yes....how long? highway or local?
their front lip bolts up to an 02 sentra.
6min most days to public transit for work, but I just put on 500miles this weekend in my 93 mustang as well.
cobras are teh sex
I wouldnt worry about the 4.10's unless youre making frequent highway/long distance travels.
They REALLY wake that car up, too.
