the difference between the two was staggering.
> '06 Dodge Charger Daytona
^ i agree
I got my car back yesterday...
At least one looks like its fast.
not from the back
who gives a fuck if it looks fast. Conservative Styling with speed > fast "looking" and slow
I hope you're not saying the Charger looks fast...looks like a shoe box.
god I hate that stupid ass daytona dodge trucks... I think they are taking that shit way too far. Srt10 trucks and that bumble bee BS.... LAFF
I just figured thats the car he was referring to. It seems like they made an attempt to make the front end look aggressive and then just stuck a rediculously generic rear end on the back.
i like the idea of the srt10 truck and lots of middle aged men seem to buy the rumble bees and daytonas, even though they are essentially a paintjob, wheels and spoiler.
FINALLY someone else on OT says what I've been saying since day ONE
and that is what they are trying to do. sell cars and make money. Its just too bad the majority of the country has such shitty taste for them to cater to.
What's wrong with that? Those appearance packages are lots of fun and really stand out.
What cam did you get?
All show, no go, ftl
They have plenty of go. Probably more so than my GN had new.
I went and test drove both cars last week .. well actualy, a Black 05 GTO w/ red interior. It drove pretty nice and had balls for sure. The dealer didn't really want me to get on it too much, but from what i can it pulled pretty hard. To me tho the styling and stuff is just not my preference. Most people I know can't ever tell the difference between that and a 2 door grand prix. You can't even hardly see the hood scoops when you are sitting inside of it, i wish you could. So after there I left to go test drive a Daytona .. I am now the owner of a Go Mango! Daytona #511 of 4000 I don't understand why people knock it so much on here when I doubt most of you have never even driven one.. for a big heavy 4000lb car it handles extremely well with the Daytona's performance package suspension, and its got plenty of grunt for a 4 door sedan. People are running 13.6-13.7 with just CAI, 180 t-stat, and Jetstage 2 chip. I ordered the Superchips Tuner that is coming out this month, as well as a Mopar CAI & 180 t-stat so I am hoping for high 13.5's or low 13.6's. And it gets hella attention, I have yet to talk to one person who didn't like it. Everywhere I go I get asked about it, its redicilous, and I am not exagerating one bit. So while the GTO may be a little faster, I personally think the Charger has more style. I needed a car I can haul my friends around with and not be all crammed in together, a car I can drive year round here in NE Ohio(I have already driven it when it was hella snowing, was 100x better then my old 02 mustang gt), and something I can still drive fast in when Im not riding. For me the charger fits the bill Different strokes for different folks. Ill post some pics up this weekend when I get a chance to take some and its sunny outside.
Cool! I own an 04 GTO and would love to have a Charger as a second car.
Can you turn off the Traction Control in those guys?
Do you have any pics of your new car?!
