If the 10-22 was an L lens it wouldn't be a hard choice.
Help me OT.
Have you considered non-Canon alternatives? Like the Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4?
Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4.
What camera do you have?
My vote out of your choices is the 17-40, but you chould definitely check out the suggested Tamron.
Depends on the camera .. what are you shooting with?
XT Rebel, Don't want a Tamron lens
I see, you're a Canon sackrider.
Tamron 17-35 and Canon 17-40L get the same rating on fredmiranda.com - 8.9
But the Tamron is $200 cheaper.
i'd take the tamron (if it was a constant f/2.8)
f/2.8-4 > constant f/4
I'd go with the 10-22, .. mind you, I only have minimal experience with it. 16mm equiv is VERY nice, but also might be a lot wider, than you think.
Go to a store and try it out.
no one said anything about a constant f/4
Yeah, but f/2.8-4 on the Tamron is betyter than f/4 on the Canon.
Tamron > rebel XT
I'm a first party sackrider. Third party shit breaks down, first party is forever.
You only have like one Canon lens, and it's the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6.
No. I don't have the kit lens.
Right. You have 4.
Sigma 15mm f/2.8 fisheye, Sigma 20mm f/1.8, Canon 50mm f/1.4, Canon 85mm f/1.8, Canon 135mm f/2L, Sigma 100-300mm f/4, Kenko 1.5x TC
How's the 135L?
I want the 10-22
Still undecided FTL
ive got the tamron...look for comparisons between it and the canon...the images look the same, and the only downside is the focus speed which usually isnt a big deal on wide angle anyways
Dizzamn! We're lens twins Except I have the Quantaray versions
