lol not only is it free, but why would you not want the most current version of the OS?
The intel version is so big because of Rosetta updates.
Office:MAC is still just as sluggish on my macbook though - Guess it was just bug fixes.
Dang, it will be a few days untill I can update. I wonder if it will make adobe apps run faster.
It's not always a fantastic idea to upgrade shit immediately. I'm in the middle of a project right now and will put off updating anything untill I'm finished because of the chance that it might fux0r soemthing.
I don't have wireless yet in my apt., so I just use my powermac for the internets right now, I need to go to starbucks or my school or something to get internets on my lappy.
School bandwidth ftw.
Do I get an alert for this? Or do I have to do it manually, everything else updates automatically.
i assume you connect the powermac via ethernet? if you have wifi on the powermac, you can setup a wifi signal to share internet connection. then you can pickup the signal on the lappy and surf the net through the powermac's wifi.
What's the Front Row update for? Actually, what the heck is Front Row?
I think the computer checks once a week for updates.
You can set it to daily, weekly, or monthly... mine is set at weekly, but I usually hear about updates here, and do it manually...
I don't want to be a guinea pig
I haven't had any probs with it (macbook)
I'll still wait a bit first
Macbook is fine here, iTunes 7.0.1 isn't being so nice i use Virtue Desktops and seems that sometimes the Browser window for it dosent load.
10.4.8 however is fine.
Has there ever been a maintenance upgrade that fucked things up for OS X?
both ibook and macbook are running fine here
