how young would you date a girl? if you were 19
i am 19 and i would date a girl that is 17, as long as she turns 18 before i turn 20.
I personally would have to say +- 2 years
Aye, +-2 years is good.
At 19, a really mature 17 year old would be the limit, but more than likely there'd still be problems there. 18 and above is the safe way to go. Above 19 it doesn't really matter, though I'd probably feel a little weird for a while dating someone who was over 5 years older.
I would go +/- 2 years.
i'm 19 and i've been dating a 17 year old for over a year.
Age doesn't matter if the girl know what she is doing and is mature enough
I was 17 when I started dating my last boyfriend who was 22 at the time. I'm not sure if it was that he was really immature or that I'm more mature than most people my age, but we never had a problem with the age thing.
Thats a tough age to make decisions about dating because everyone in your age group is changing at different paces...
This is really a case by case thing depending on your maturity and the maturity you seek in a partner. Dont be fooled into thinking a 17yo is "really mature", you may think so from a 19 yo perspective, but get past your 20's and there is no such thing as a mature 17y0.
Like I said, its all perspective and maturity. Just make sure you take into account local laws
And personally, when I was 19, I dated girls my age or older. Flings with younger ones, but I found teenage girls to clingy, and once I was away from highschool I didnt want to deal with all that BS drama from a partner who was still in HS. I didnt even want to hear about it.
I'm 19 and a sophmore in college (although this year is rounding to an end). I don't think I'd date a girl that was still in high school. I still consider myself a kid, but the discrepency in maturity levels seems pretty big. You'd be surprised how much 2 or even 1 year of college can impact and change someone.
+/- 12 years is good
"date" 17 youngest.
17 is probably youngest you want to go, its the age where most girls at least reach some level of bearable maruity.
This is a dumb question because there's no way to generalize accurately. You can say that "most" 17 yr olds are less mature than "most" 19 yr olds, but some 17 yr olds are not less mature and some 19 yr olds are not more mature. Maturity is not measured by your time alive on Earth.
Don't do anything illegal. Other than that, do whatever makes sense on a person by person basis.
I was 21 dating a 17 year old, she turned 18 before I turned 22, though she was in college at 17. We have been togeather for 5 years and are engaged.
18 is the legal minimum....
I dunno I'm with someone who is 6.5 years older than me( Me 21 he 27) and it doesn't feel weird in the slightest. Granted I"m a girl and most girls date older. I guess after you hit 20 age isnt that much of an issue. I say if you get along, good convo, makes you feel good ( non sexual) and is younger ok thats cool, but If she's barley into her freshman year of high school I'd hold off a bit. But it's not really us to say what is ok or not. Sorry I started babbeling
18 is the minimum in some states, others it is still 14
at 19 years old i would say no younger than 17. though i'm 27 and my gf is 22 but we have no issues with the age difference. i'd just say during the mid to late teen years, maturity levels vary so drastically between the years.
i'm 19 and I was with a 17 year old and you think they are mature, but the truth is they haven't gone through a lot of the same shit and when you argue their whole prospective is still immature compared to yours cause you experience far more shit in those 2 years than they know about.
I agree with everyone else. +/- 2 years sounds about right
