definitely see some progress. not so much in the first month, but noticeable differences in the 2nd month.
nice job, keep going
first month was just crappy low cal diet.
2nd month macro averages are 1991 cal, 51g fat, 133g carb, 240g protein.
biking 8.8 miles a day, 6 days a week, pur's routine minus squats since my knees are jacked the fuck up. from ~147 to 132lbs total loss for the 2 month period. 5'6". goal is to be back to 145 but single digits by the end of the summer.
i'm riding 4-5 days a week now, cutting down to 3 when i get back in town from my vacation in june.
i always picard.jpg when i see a skinny person with little to no LBM go on a cutting regimen. there's no reason to diet down when there's no muscle there to begin with
Maybe hes cardio freak?
there is reason. i used to swim competitively and i'm interested in getting back the physique i used to have before i:
1. stopped playing sports almost 4 years ago
2. got to college and let myself go
3. lived on one meal a day, usually from jack in the box or taco bell at like 2am
different strokes for different folks. i'm interested in eating healthy, living healthy right now.
i'm also intersted in not looking like a butterball for the 17 days in greece that i'll be spending at the end of next month.
pur's routine is more of a gaining regimen especially with the diet he outlined.
did u have ur body hair shaved in the beggining, cause from the start to 1st month all i saw was there was more body hair. lol 2nd month looks good tho GJ
my diet's going to 2500 daily as of this week.
my macros are usually around 25% fat 25% carb 50% protein.
i've reached a point where i no longer lose actual weight but can notice myself leaning out and keeping the weight i have. i'm not exactly worried about getting big swole b/c that's not really what i'm interested in. my goal is to have competed and completed a triathlon event by the end of this year and in a timely fashion, i.e. not DFL.
i shave occasionally.
bump up the calories for a couple months at least.
you wouldve made better progress with a clean bulking diet especially given your starting point (skinny fat physique). essentially with that approach in 2 months, you maybe would've dropped 5lbs at most, but your body composition wouldve been much improved. with what your doing, is pretty much 2 steps back, 1 step forward
when i get back in town, its going to 3k same macros.
if ur going to be a competitve endurance athlete i hope you dont keep that carb intake low
the biggest thing that made me lose weight (8lbs in 2.5 weeks) was only eating like 1300 cal a day like an idiot and spring breaking in colombia where i walked around with a backpack for 4-5 miles each day i was there.
i can admit, my diet sucked for shit from the start but i'm actually pretty comfortable where i am right now.
noticeably leaner... but i agree with PreemO. up calories a bit and clean bulk to add some muscle
post number 9.
post number 13.
purs diet is around 2300-2400 calories. for most people that is either maintenence or below maint.
i don't think some people realize how short 5'6" is either.
Purs diet is fine for bulking or maintaining, but is it really for someone who is training to be an endurance athlete? Sounds like the wrong plan.
i'm not eating his diet, i'm doing his weight routine as of 3 weeks ago.
i'm not training to be an endurance athlete either, i said i wanted to complete a triathlon in a timely fashion. i just want to be able to complete the damn thing and not be dead last one step at a time here. i'm just trying to get healthy after eating junk food for 4 years, having quit cigs cold turkey in feb and having quit smoking pot as of 4/20.
for someone with ~120lb LBM, id say that's above maintenance
