This place just looks straight evil, thoughts on B&W conversion?
and lots and lots of geese
Nice shots. I'm curious as to how the first one would print, thats a lot of detail o the low end of the spectrum. It'd be cool if you could put a light on in there, give it a little more mystery.
I actually waited for like 20 minutes thinking maybe some crows would fly by or something
you didn't wait long enough
I guess this one isnt that bad either
i really like the haunted house composition. because it's b&w, though, the chromatic abberation along the roof edges stand out quite a bit. this is a result of the lens and there's not much you can do about it in-camera except for not taking high contrast shots. you should be able to fix it in photoshop with some dilligence
the second one with the geese flying...i think you should have tried to take a shot before so many took flight...maybe 2-5 seconds earlier? with all those white dots in the air in front of the sunset is quite distracting and takes away from the shot. in PS, i'd try to bump up the saturation a bit as well as it's slightly flat, so to speak
third shot i like the composition of but like the second one, the background isn't as sharp as i think it could be. maybe a sharpening filter + unsharp mask in photoshop would help out? also, saturation again i would bump up
my 3 cents
you're impressing me every day weezeryfan421... the first pic is fucking awesome! i couldn't help but make it my new desktop. don't stop taking pics... you got some good shit goin on. more houses... MORE.
critique them you bitch!
I value your opinion somewhat
but who is weezeryfan421?
just take the compliment
They look a little crooked.
Second picture with the geese looks like the horizon is splitting the vertical axis on the 50/50 mark.
The edge detail on the 8th goose from the right needs a little tweaking.
Thats probably because I got rid of a branch that was in the way of them, which led to smudging
Here are the final two versions of each one
Much better crop on the geese shot, though maybe a little over saturated
i really like the geese one.
