Looking to get exhaust. Any suggestions? Would prefer that it doesnt sound ricey!!
Gibson or Flowmaster.
until it hits 4k+ rpms...
Prolly start sounding ricey then. Anybody heard the gibson super truck side swept? How does it sound.
I have had a Flowmaster on this engine before but I am not sure what series it was. Whats the sound and Perf. difference between the 40 and 50 series and what other Flowmasters are there?
A guy on my site www.fordexplorer.net makes custom exhaust, will build it to your spec. Email him at [email protected] and tell him Jesse from FordExplorer.net sent you if you're interested.
If you'd like an example of his work:
Iwas planning on getting the gibson and cutting the tips off and putting a dump on it. Think it will sound OK or the same as all of the other exhaust out there?
It's still gonna sound like a Mercruiser V6.
daaaaaaaaaamn, that sounds nice!
You basically have to understand you have a V6 and its never going to sound like a V8. All you can do is make it sound like one cool ass V6. Iv got headers, SLP y pipe, and borla catback on my 4.3 chevy. It sounds good, not a fake V8. It will flow and give you all the power gains you could want, but its not going to sound gay. It will sound like one fire breathing V6. None of this wanna be V8 bullshit.
I am not looking for a V8 sound.... Performance first and no rice!
Thats why i like my borla. Flows as good as anything else but still has a sound thats all its own.
Borlas have a deep sound and flow better than Flowmasters (straight-though design vs. Flowmaster's chambered design).
My dual exit kit muffler is sitting in my garage, waiting for me to have enough money to get the pipes made for it
Ford F150 V6? Ugh. I bet that's a dog.
