    2005 Buick LaCrosse CSX
    GM to debut LaCrosse

General Motors Corp.’s Buick division will replace the venerable Century and Regal sedans when the 2005 LaCrosse goes on sale next fall. The sedan — featuring an all-new exterior and interior — will offer two engine choices, GM said Monday. Buick will release more details when the LaCrosse is formally unveiled next week at the Chicago Auto Show.

They practically stole the taillights off of a S-Type.

I like everything exept the front end. Buicks are much nicer cars that most people realize... the current Century, which has been around forever, is probably the plushest new car you can get for ~ < $25k, and the only GM line with better build & materials quality is Caddilac.

BUT, this style of headlights has got to stop... every car that wants to look upscale these days is using it, which, correct me if I'm wrong, started with the old Benz E Class, and was then ripped off by Lexus (GS), and was then ripped off by damn near everyone else.... now that even all the cheapo Korean automakers are copying the style as well, it just looks played out and cheapened. :hs:

The headlamp treatment on this Buick looks much better than anything else in the Buick lineup right now, and vastly better than on crap like the Kia Amanti. :ugh:

it looks "okay" - I don't have a problem with the looks of the regal and century, in fact I like them looks wise and the interior feel is good with me. Personally, the deciding factor in if I like it or not is how the ride quality is. If it's overly-mushy and has pussy-light steering like the current platform, for me it tanks. I'll reserve judgement until I test drive one while taking my mom's car in for an oil change or something at the dealer late this year.

It looks a thousand times better than the newest Grand Prix.

    It's getting the new 255HP 3.6L V6 that's in the Cadillac CTS.

That should make it pretty snappy, if the interior makes as much strides as all the other recently redesigned American cars, this should turn out pretty cool.
