took over a free-falling collapse of the economy under Bush...
Had the "tea party" imbeciles basically rejecting anything he would put forth on the table, and still accomplished big bills like the ACA and Paris Accord, etc...
Had Moscow Mitch and the GOP racist hypocrites try to find kinks in his persona, and all they could come up with was a "oh gosh, a tan suit!! how dare he"

yeah, I'll go ahead and say it, best president in the past 30 years

Sounds like we need govt to stay out of healthcare.

The entire reason gov't is intervening in the US health care crisis is because private enterprise can't get it done, and because the profit motive is fundamentally antithetical to the entire concept of health and wellness. The US routinely ranks in the bottom third worldwide when it comes to quality of and access to care. Covid closed thousands of hospitals while insurance execs walked away with billions more in profit. The system absolutely does not work, and if you don't think it's desperate for change you are seriously deluded.

Truthfully, the GOP misplayed it badly by letting it become such a problem by doing nothing, leaving a massive opening for Democrats to just walk right through. "Vote Democrat and your grandma's sudden illness won't bankrupt your entire family" is as easy a sale as it gets. Moreover, Trump & Co. had two years to do literally anything they wanted to with a party-line vote, and the fact remains they were simply too incompetent (or too in bed with moneyed interests) to come up with anything. John McCain saved thousands of lives with his vote.

The only reason anybody - anybody - is saying gov't should stay out of healthcare is because any change would cost industry executives money. That talking point has been fed to ignorant Americans for decades. It's phenomenally easy for me to vote for any candidate who talks seriously about changing the healthcare paradigm in America, because it objectively needs to be done, and because literally no-one else will do it.
