  • Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 hypercar.
  • The T.50 is powered by a Cosworth-built V-12 that makes 654 horsepower and has a redline of 12,100 rpm.
  • The car is notable for its light weight—a claimed 2174-pound curb weight—but the company does not name a top speed, saying its engine "is designed to deliver optimum performance, not to hit prescribed power, speed, or acceleration targets."

I like they kept the feeling of the OG. But I am not sold on the turbine/fan rear. Unless it works like a fan car :dunno:

Looks like it has a turbine
Because it does.

Pretty clever what they use it for though... connected to a couple different ducts they can open or close. When you want more downforce, it sucks the air that would be stalling on the diffuser that's more extreme than normal, so that air stays flowing along it and increases the downforce (not sucking the car down like a vacuum cleaner like the F1 car back in the day). When you want top speed, it closes the diffuser ducts, opens the ducts on the top side and feeds that air through the fan and gives the car a virtual aerodynamic long-tail effect, giving it better top speed aerodynamics and a little bit of thrust too.
