Well sorta, as it was only a push/pull meet and I only entered for the deadlift comp (non-sactioned, non-tested although I'm drug free and use only a belt on my lifts), almost any equipment allowed (double ply, open back, custom denum, etc). Didn't do too bad, although I could have done better. Opened with 520, 555, 575 (fail). Bw 235, ht 6', age 26, focused training for 8 months (off and on for the previous 4 years). Click here to watch 42206-Deads (large file, forgive me and allow to load) Critisium (sp?) welcome. I was there with a few guys that train at the same gym I do. Best dead-lifter at the meet was Dale Rhodes, gym owner/mentor, bw 183, age 59, life time drug free, dl 635 single ply (I foreget the manufacturer/ line), modified conventional style, double overhand. I'm happy with the results of the meet. I'm on my way to meet my goal of a 600 lb dead by the years end. I will meet this goal. Keep lifting heavy and EAT.
