I need to figure out a camera solution. Never felt I needed one with the ender because if the print failed, it wouldn't be very far before I noticed it. Now I could have it fail and not notice before it's done because of how fast it's going.

Reading the one that they gave as an early bird gift sucked. Gotta find something else which also kinda sucks since I'll have to use two different apps.

The quality isn't quite as good as my ender going Uber slow (I think the fastest I can go with it is like 50 for infill, and 30 for walls), but I'm sure if I slowed this thing down to even 2x the ender speed, it would knock it out.
I think the more important thing to tune is the accelerations for details, I've had the same concern with my x1c

Also, screen definitely sucks but sending from the computer basically eliminates the need to use it. I think I have an old phone I could possibly print a mount for and just use that.

Noise isn't as bad as I expected. I'd say it's only a little bit louder than the ender @ normal speed and basically the same if not quieter in silent mode.

Definitely can tell it's extruding a bit much. Probably just need to do a k calibration but I'm not 100% sure if it's just the same print as I did on the ender.

is K calibration ender for tuning extruder by doing the mark 120mm and print 100 thing?
The more 'modern' thinking is to tune by flow per filament (type if you're not deep on the spectrum)
Mine also overextrudes a bit, I bumped ABS down to like .96 or something and it's still probably a hair over extruding but it might just be wacky pressure advance because I use the textured plate.

Yeah, I was thinking the little line thing where you see which line is the most consistent and keep narrowing it down. Are you just adjusting by watching prints and making adjustments?

it was sort of considered to be institutional knowledge that ABS is .9-.96 on a voron, I just started messing with it until parts fit correctly

I'm a moron lol. When I said the ender had better quality earlier, I was comparing a benchy from the p1p to one off the ender. Realized last night while reexamining both that the p1p one was .2 layer height while the ender one was .12. no wonder...

Another thing I've noticed is the bed take forever to heat up. The nozzle is super fast though so it kinda makes up for it.

Pretty huge variance tho due to leverage. It is the reason I'd like to build an upsidedown corexy. You'd never need to worry about resonance caused by leverage.
I got curious and asked around, the input shaper graphs change but not that much from z=low to z=max, not enough that they don't help at z=max

I can see why these get such high praise. They feel amazing. I didn't realize how shitty feeling my amazon cheapies were until now :o
For sure. I used Mitutoyo and Starrett's for years when I worked in machine shops, they are quite awesome when you need something precise.
