Use the cool plate for pla. I put the textured plate behind the printer to never be used again.
I use the smooth PEI plate (Bambu “high temp” plate) —

I have the Whambam PEX plate too which seems to be top tier for all types of filament, but I haven’t tried it at all yet.

are the new 4k resin printers worth the upgrade from say, the first reality resin printers?
I want a resin printer for figures and shit, but it seems too messy

Microcenter had the smaller creality resin printers on super sale today — the first-gen LD printers and the smaller Halot printer were only $99 :omg:

But I’ve heard Elegoo, anycubic and Phrozen are the better brands for resin :dunno:

Decided to pull it from the enclosure and do the print in PLA. Way past the point where it went nuts before and everything seems normal. I think it must have been the heat. I had a small digital thermometer in the enclosure but it was at the base and reading 100f. Might have been way too higher up.

I'll probably print the enclosure parts in PLA and use them for a bit before printing ASA again.

any cubic no - proprietary software. the creality ld006 is priced too high at micro center, it's 399 but 260 on amazon. if you get a wash and cure station, and water washable resin, it ain't bad. you can remove the build plate, the whole thing print attached and all, and drop in the wash station and never touch resin.

PLA doesn't need an enclosed and gets soft at a low temp.

OH MY GOD I'M AN IDIOT.

Octoprint literally says "My ip address is ____" just above the shit that asks for the login I could never figure out.

I finally got it to take me to the setup wizard. Now I gotta see wtf I do on this lol

Ok I completed the setup. Now I'm at this screen. Is this the point where I plug in a usb from the pi to the printer? Idk what the serial thing is about.

Cool but I'm less excited than I was. Tried the "organic" supports on a recent project and they have their own issues. Not quite the magic bullet I was hoping for. Oh well. Back to my favorite support settings.

0.25mm z distance.
75% xy distance.
3mm support spacing.
3-4 interface layers.
0.2mm interface layer spacing.
They’ve been working awesome for me in pla but abs and petg they’re kind of a pain in the ass still

I guess I should wait until my current print finishes and then try plugging in the USB. No clue if that's correct lol

have you seen this? It's next on my list after I finish the rest of the parts for my printer:

yeah, not particcularly interested since i havent had issues with any of my filaments/spools, and i've put PTFE buttons and dessicant pods in mine already -- the only cool thing would be the adjustable spool diameters so i can use smaller spools/sample spools

i might get antoehr AMS or two and the hub, though, to finally have an earnest go at multicolor printing -- just dont like all the waste
