Is 52 any good? I've never really been into anything DC, but CW is boring me.
Ups and downs. It is a weekly series so parts of it feel rushed. But right now it is better than CW.
I'm alittle confused, what should I read to get an idea of whats going on?
If you have a basic knowledge of the DC universe, then you should be okay though at the end of each issue, there's background on infinite crisis (another comic universe spanning story) as well as a brief profile of characters featured in 52.
The beginning was quite excellent. The best part about 52 is without a doubt the stories with Black Adam and company. It's definitly worth a read if you're going to get into the current DC universe
In theory nothing. Everything past Infinite Crisis is an attempt to make the DCU easier to understand for people who have never read a DC comic before.
Basically, just know that Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman have gone AWOL
I've been having fun with it. It's nice to see some of my favourite heroes who don't get much play, like Animal Man, knee-deep in it.
Even though Lobo's a tard, no matter how they write him.
Can someone up week 35?
Has the series finished?
Nvm, found it
The series is still going. This week is 40 & it's going to 52.... and then another one from 51 to 0 (counting backward).
Wha? 51 to 0?
Okay, that's just kind of dumb. Even with some of my favourite DC characters, they really don't need to do this for ANOTHER year.
not really, it's a universe spanning crossover event...that lasts a whole year with a new book every week. the sales on 52 have been very sucessful, and i would be shocked and amazed if DC didn't continue this to some degree.
hell, there was even talk of marvel doing a weekly series
Oh, I understand the marketing thought behind it ... I just don't really feel like they need to draw this all out for another whole year. But that's just me, and I'll probably read it regardless.
