i am leaning toward the FF but other than that how does image quality compare. Help me out
Search for images here:
Decide for yourself. We can't answer such ambiguous and subjective questions for you. Bottom line though, is that if you're asking this question, I can guarantee either camera will be more than adequate for you.
I would go with the 50d. I did and used the extra money to get a few lenses and focusing on learning.
i was comparing the old 5d not the 5dmarkii to the 50d. they seem to be veray comparabe in price, i am not shure how th eold 5d was in image quality
I'd take the 5d over the 50d unless you absolutely need the extra fps, 3 more mp, or the (slightly) better AF.
Surely you get my point though.
i know what your saying, i just dont have that much time to sit on the interweb and read a all those reviews. and i know most of you here are Photo Elitists so i was just looking for a quick answer.
i read reviews before buying a $50 computer part
you are debating between an $1100 camera and what a $2k+ camera?
are you serious?
Oh, so you're lazy and looking to be spoon fed? That's pretty much what I figured.
Go do your homework and stop wasting everyone's time.
it's only a few grand. don't waste his time. just flip a coin and tell him which one
i recently bought a 50d over a 5d
and now i regret it
ok, ok, ok...D700
olympus e-300 bro
you can get a 5d for around 1500. i am not talkning about the 5dmarkii
OTAP strikes again
do you have any canon lenses already?
if you've got a nice selection of EF-S lenses might as well get the 50d
if not, get the 5d, and get some nice L glass like a 17-40 and a 24-70
i have the 17-40 and 24-105 .
if i was you, i'd get the 5d
I have both the 5D MKI & II. At below ISO 1600 at web resolutions, most won't notice a difference between the two bodies.
The AF system on the 5D bodies are more than capable. I have a 1D MKII which does have a better AF system but the 5D can hold its own. I've done panning shots with the 5D with success. The main difference will be when the AF is used off center, which is where the 1D series bodies have a big edge, but most keep it in the center AF point.
Any way, the 50D isn't anything special other than the new LCD. The 40D produces better image quality (pixel density). Unless you plan on shooting wildlife or sports, the 5D is probably the better overall choice unless you need the crop factor.
ps. FPS is over-rated.
6 months ago I sold a 5D for $850
Look around and you can find some nice deals.
Oh I forgot my smart ass comment.
If you have to ask which one to get, then please get the 50D. kthx
