Too much to do everyday?
calf Raises I do at 250lbs Standing and 205 Sitting
Do you do the standing on a smith machine?
On leg days I ussually do 305 Calf Raises
I never do any low rep calf work. I've been doing 3 x 15 @ 205 lately. I'll have to give it a shot.
I don't think it'd be bad to do calf work every day or every other day though. From what I understand, smaller muscles and muscles you use alot recover faster.
How do you do the leg lifts??
Why are you doing high reps for abs, and low reps for calves?
Do 5x5 with a straight leg instead all the way up until your knees touch your chest instead.
Or build up to it.
that would take some crazy strength and flexibility
How do you guys do your seated calf raises? What i mean by this is do you push up so far that you're on tip toes? Or just Enough to move the weight back up?
till my calves are fully flexed, then I lower all the way.
read this... my calves have always been rather large (comparatively speaking), but this made them really respond more than anything else. The 4 second pause at the bottom is the key.
Cool. Gotta try that this week.
do it for a month or so and you should see some nice improvements.
Yea Im already doing that for the most part. I have 19" Calves
Anyone know how I can do seated calf raises without having the machine for it? Does doing them on the leg press work the soleus?
Leg press is fine... I actually don't really care for seated calf raises, I prefer to do calves on the leg press and hammer strength V-squat machines.
They were just 18.5 inch yesterday, now they're 19 inch? You have some pretty fast growing calves.
My left is 18.5 my right is 19"
