Hope you enjoy
This one I touched up in photoshop. Greyed out everything but the flag.
The pics look really good. I don't know why, but I like #2. A closer crop on #1 would be better for it, IMO.
bump for neat pics.
I have this same fucking shot. Mine is just as shitty too! (Long exposure + no tripod = shitty pic)
You must have taken this one on a Thursday night.
I thought that last one looked a little familiar...
Wow! What a small friggin' world! You're right to. No tripod. Thurs night too.
I know my town!
What camera are you using? I'm too lazy to even see if I can find EXIF data on those pics.
Where did you take the cemetery pics...the VA grounds
And the clock one...where is that? Is it the one down near the end of Wisconsin Ave.?
I have that pic too. I was there 2 years ago when Harley was celebrating their aniversary.
ha! alright milwaukee area in here.
Nick and this new guy need to go out and shoot.
Awesome pictures as always Nick. * sorry I need to vote for someone that didn't have any votes so they would play next contest but you beat everyone. *
I'm using a 350D with the kit lens.
Ya know... now that I think about when those photos were taken, it was a Friday or Saturday night. I remember not having anything else to do so I went out to take some photos. I am pretty sure Friday night. There was a wedding reception going on inside.
The cemetery pictures were taken at this cemetery off of bluemound road. I can't remember the name. It was along I94 though just west of Miller Park.
I'm not good at speaking english.
Anyways I assumed that these pictures were taking in the Milwaukee area, and since you said you have the exact same photos though you took them/ lived in Milwaukee.
Nick again great photos.
They usually only keep the wings open on the Calatrava addition on Thursday nights...(most days they close them as soon as the sun goes down). They might open them on other nights for special occasions, but as a general rule, they are always open on Thursday nights.
And that is part of the VA Cemetery. VA stands for Veterans Association. They have all of the graves of local war veterans there...on the area on both sides of I-94. Some of the cemetery (the area closer to Bluemound Road) is just a regular cemetery, and some of the earlier and wealthier Milwaukeeans have their graves their. Quite a few really cool monuments at that cemetery were badly vandalized a few years ago.
P.S. - I have the same camera
I do live in Milwaukee.
man then whatca whatting... does that make sense? ha
anyways .. . back to Nick's photos.
