I just got a new IDE hard drive. I would like to add it to my system. I have a ASUS P4P800 Deluxe motherboard. Specs here: http://usa.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m...Deluxe&langs=09 It has onboard Parallel ATA IDE Raid. I already have 2 hard drives on the regular IDE channel. Can I just add one hard drive to the Raid controlled IDE slot without setting up an array? Or do I have to set up an array? If I can just add a drive, can it be the drive containing the OS, or just a storage drive? I would prefer not to set up RAID, I don't really need it, and I would have to buy another hard drive to match one of my current.
