It does take a while to find the routine that works for both your body and mind. I'm constantly trying to bulk and I've went through routine after routine. I've finally settled on a nice split that my body recovers very well from, and have gained a lot of strength. Before, I was always worried and stressed out if I missed a day of my old routine where I would train hard everyday without giving my body a break. People may say you overtrain a certain body part but it all depends from person to person. I HAVE FOUND what works for me. Monday: CHEST/ Tri's Tuesday: Abs, Bi's, Shoulders (Simple) Wednesday: LEGS, Abs, Tris Thursday: Light Cardio (Running) , HOT TUB/ POOL! (Simple) Friday: BACK, bis, Shoulders Saturday: ABs, LIGHT Tris, Bi's (simple) Sunday: OFF I found that this keeps me growing and in overall good shape for the Marine Corps. I like to switch up the big routines with different exercises that fit what I'm doing that day.... while keeping the essentials.\ It's a very low-stress workout, I love it.
