So, someone wanted to sell me their Arsenal SLR-101. I really wasn't interested, as I don't need another AK. I made a recockulous fuck-off offer though (why not?), and the guy actually accepted. He must have been crazy hurting for money, but whatev right? Well, I knew it was a ban era-gun, which is even more teh ghey. Figured I'd keep it around to convert, or maybe flip it for some $$. Ended up showing my buddy the gun, and let him borrow it as he needed another AK to shoot over the weekend. I get a call last night asking me wtf was wrong with the thing? Him: Dude, this gun is a piece of shit. Me: Huh? No, your probably just retarded. What's the problem? Him: It won't take clips (yes i know, he's a little backwoods) Me: *Sigh* well leave it the fuck alone, and don't touch it (afraid he would try and "make" it fit, which would be bad) So I write it off as him probably trying to stick a FAL mag in it or something equally dumb, and forget about it. He brought it back, and lo and behold, shit won't fit. Not even close. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU.... I bought a single stack AK No wonder the dude let it go so cheap. I didn't even know the fucking things came like that? Anyways, laugh at my misfortune, and tell me what I should do. I can't find dick about single stack 101's. Can I just open up the magwell like any other AK and be good? Is the bullet guide/bolt/etc the same? Should I just say fuck it and sell it like is? I have absolutely zero use for the gun as it sits, though if I can convert it without much drama I might just hold onto it.
