"I'M THE GODDAMN BATMAN!"
haha yeah. luckily, the artwork and you're right, alfred, saved the series for me. alfred "i am not however, your slave. unhand me"
Gotta say I haven't touched the All-Star stuff, but just reading that blog entry was creepy. I definately have no desire to look into it further now.
The artwork is great. Too bad it doesn't take away from the fact that the dialogue is horrible and the characterizations (save for Alfred) are completely wacked.
When the first three issues came out, I mentioned that issue 4 was delayed so Miller could retool the characters a little because fans were complaining so much. I didn't see much of a change in issue 4.
On top of that, (although it is a Batman book), Miller seems to have completely emasculated Superman. Running across the ocean instead of flying around the world? What the hell was up with that?
at least all-star superman is good
I don't know why they went this route? There're so many batman stories to be told, do we need another robin backstory?
Hell, I think batman tracking osama would've been better than this
Yeah, miller made batman to be a supreme prick. I agree with the Supes comment - why couldn't he just fly? (maybe it's a mini retcon as a homage to the days where supes really couldn't fly just yet).
Miller also made Robin to be extremely defiant - not sure what to think about this.
the allstar batman sucks. i hate miller with a passion. i hate what he did with dk2
