I thought I would post mine for you guys to laugh at.
Hate the last one, but the first two are ok
the only "HDR" I've ever shot... it's 3 exposures hand blended in photoshop
Last 2 from the OP are how I think HDR done right looks like. It enhances the image, but doesn't go overly surreal. Especially things like halos and glowing colors.
I like the first one a lot
The first one is made of win, however the second two compensate for the win with fail and aids.
#1 looks good. #2 is pushing it. #3 is just ridiculous.
I actually prefer the last two to the first one.
It's interesting to see the different opinions on the different looks.
BTW they're clickable for larger versions.
me no likey
i almost heaved there.
makes me feel like i'm in alice from wonderland or something
i thought HDR was to make things look MORE realistic?
That's where you're wrong. HDR is to compensate for shitty photography skills.
people always go overboard with HDR.
Its not supposed to look like a cartoon. Its supposed to look like a really nice picture that you cant even tell HDR was used.
Your eyes/brain has more dynamic range than your lens/sensor. So only way to duplicate how we experience a scene in certain lighting conditions is to use HDR.
I'm kidding. I'm well aware of the range the eye has over film/sensor and the "proper" benefit of HDR. I just wanted hang with the cool kids and do some cartooning too.
Guess which of these is an HDR:
I'm going with the top 3 answers.
im beginning to think this is the truth. if your photo's suck get a camera with more megapixels and then do HDR
When your photo starts to look like a bunch of pastels, you've overdone it
Only two HDR shots I've ever done. People love the 2nd one
