I have been doing the wheel loops for a bit.
X the rear and straight front.

Miles of nasty dirt roads to where we ride. Never moves.

Similar to this: But my straps are much beefier

Am I being an autist in thinking it's better to strap down the frame vice the dangly unsprung bits?

the dump trucks at the mine were highway legal load 142,000#, we loaded them to 198,000#, cuz 100% off road, so not illegal

still broke all the frames at the firewall

they were warranty

western star actually put new frames in them :rofl2:

but the cost of towing them to and from western star, and the loss of revenue from how long they took to put in new frames, we just fish plated steel to the frames and called it good

the 13 axle trucks carried 220,000#, cant member what the trucks weighed

Weak sauce :scootin:

Our heavy hauler like that was used to move the cat 994s, d10s, and track drills from pit to pit. They would use it with the Hitachi 3500 shovels, but not the 5500s. They were worried about the center of gravity.

the 994 weighs 420,000 lbs, the hitachi shovel weighs 720,000 lbs :eek3:

It's a debate a lot of people have. I feel wheels/tires allow for the suspension to move on the vehicle being transported.

If you strap to the frame and you hit a bump. The suspension will move and create slack on the strap which could cause it to shift or move and put additional stress/strain on the straps and secure points on the trailer.

is that a horn mounted behind the license plate frame?
I think so. I really haven't looked it over good to find everything.

The brake master cylinder is behind the dash. It has an access door on the side when you open the door
