i feel lucky that the F350 is actually better than advertised so far (going to get a 550 or 5500 whenever i can).. in that it has M300 rear and Dana 60 axles, same wheel bearings, the frame is stout.. like really... i feel like im taking a risk every time, but... far less so than others..

its what they do.. all of them.. go look at an RV and you will see standards and options.. half the options are mandatory..

its just a shady trick to get around weight limits and restrictions..

its like my toy hauler.. supposed to have a cargo capacity of 4200lbs.. with a gross trailer weight of 19000... but the fucking trailer weighs 17300 DRY.. (manufacturer did upgrade our Gross trailer weight to 20k a year later even ours) but the same bullshit still stands.)

I saw someone towing an F450 quad cab long bed on a flatbed trailer with an F150 and the 150 looked like a fucking pre-runner it was so bottomed out in the rear this morning on my way back from CA.

I got as fucking far from them as possible, don't want to be anywhere near the path of destruction when it begins.

rolling in front wheel drive cause his real wheel axle is fucking toast.

That looks like a Ford 9" rear end, I forget how the shafts work on that but since the diff is just empty his rear wheels are literally just attached to the drums and are the drums just attached to the outer shafts right? like there's floating mid-shafts in those which are just not there right?

I saw someone towing an F450 quad cab long bed on a flatbed trailer with an F150 and the 150 looked like a fucking pre-runner it was so bottomed out in the rear this morning on my way back from CA.

I got as fucking far from them as possible, don't want to be anywhere near the path of destruction when it begins.

I remember driving next to an SUV with a mattress bungied to the roof about 20 years ago. Problem was, we were on the freeway, and the mattress was acting like an air foil and floating about 3" above it.

I see so many people pulling monster 5th wheels with the same truck out here. No way!!!!

my other favorite is the morons who have their 250/2500 jacked to the sky on dumb ass wheels with a mega drop hitch towing a toy hauler tow behind the same way..

suspension.. not for towing
tires not rated for that weight (nor speed usually)
wheels not rated for that weight
massive drop hitch fucking DUMB..

i cant believe how many of them get away with this shit

i saw a guy towing a 43' momentum from GD (same basic toy hauler as I have) with an F250 with stupid fucking wheels and tires just a couple weeks ago.. i swear i could hear the tires screaming for help.. (thats a 20k gross vehicle weight trailer)

Mine is 2.5" Leveled + 37's. Also have Sumo springs in the rear and it sits level when towing.

BIL has a 32ft Sandstorm 5th wheel. Tows with a gasser F250 (2017 6.2L)

Gigantic drop hitches honestly should be outlawed, cause when they fail they always fail in a huge fucking way. It's never someone using one to tow a couple of ATV's or maybe even a buggy or SXS, it's always someone in a 3/4 ton with a 2ft lift on 40"s trying to tow a party boat or a too large toy hauler.
