She's wearing some thai shorts. I suspect she is a spy working for north korea in learning uber skills to take over the world.

why the hate on kids mma? they don't allow punches to the face right?
im sure theres diffrent rules everywhere. the bit they had linked in the cage, they were doing everything. punches to the head/face, knees to downed opponents, dont remember if there were elbows on the ground. all with little to no protective gear.
not a fan of that for kids that young.
in that case I agree. but with proper safety measure/equipment I see no problem with it.
It's takeanap fight gear. They only know how to make them go to sleep, not protect them.
Violence + children = fail.
i think all children should take martial arts. its good for them. dosnt even really matter what kind. although something actually usefull is better than TKD, TKD is better than nothing.
I used to spar for a few years when I took Kenpo. We definitely wore padding, but it was a lot of fun and when sessions were finally over, it suddenly would hit you how exhausted you were. Our instructor was an old marine who'd been in Vietnam. He was one of those men-of-few-words badasses.
my kids get to spar all range with strikes on the ground, wearing face cages, gloves and shinguards, once they have been training for a while and know how to not kill each other. never had a real injury
there's a difference between learning a martial art, and beating the shit out of eachother.
Taking martial arts != actually fucking fighting each other. In martial arts, kids learn that you shouldn't use what you learn unless it's a life threatening situation (or whatever wording they use). Putting kids in a ring/cage/arena in front of X number of people and having them fight for sport is exactly the opposite, it encourages kids to use what they learn against other kids.
Or do you?
Dun Dun Dunnnnn
Sorry. Didn't mean to direct that towards you at all. Just saying...
I do see a point there. I do have to hope the kids who are fighting have a well balanced and thought out support system through training that is teaching them that they are entering into a competition using their martial arts and that it doesn't make it OK to just kick the shit out of people.
i cant imagine even 5% of kids being able to differentiate. Half the time when the kids are fighting there is one dominating and the other just wishing they werent there.
from what I hear from my brother this is exactly what kids wrestling tournaments are like and those are all good?
They should allow soccer kicks.
Imagine the potential of in the future a face even more uglier than Wandys? Let the kids chute box for the future of man made hideous monsters.
one major diffrence, noones throwing knees to the ribs, or punches to the face in a wrestling tournament.
not defending wrestling tournaments though, i tend to think that one on one combat type things like that at such a young age is stupid for kids. its not like its their choice, its all because the parents want the kid to do it for their own reasons.
we already have cyborg
