I'm really itching for squirrel season.
What guns do you use?
Depends, sometimes I use a 10/22, but I like using my Marlin .22WMR as well. I've used my Remy 700 .30-06 before too
remington 522 viper
a mossberg 835, browning BPS, or Winchester Model 12 (all in 12 gauge). I really need a 20 gauge
I think the last time I shot a squirrel I used my Garand
Damn I wish there were better places around here to hunt, even small game. I use to drive 4hrs to a hunting sport with ground squirrels and use my 10/22 with a scope, some times my 20GA
I used a 20 gauge all last season. I think i may mix in some .22 or .17 action this year though.
My friend's dad leases an assload of hunting land about 15 minutes away.
My .22 Henry lever
No semi autos for hunting in PA
Pellet gun in the back yard. Got 3 so far this season.
12 guage, I wish I had a 20
and .243 for larger varmints
Remington 870 12ga.
10/22 or rem 870 12ga
Mossberg 500 or Savage 93R17
Mmm, I can't wait for some fried squirrel
What shot do you guys use that hunt with a 12ga?
Why is that a funny question?
The size of the squirrels down here in FL barely warrant a .22, let alone a 12ga...
Yeah... I'm having trouble figuring out why one would use a 12 ga to hunt a little rodent that can't fly (except for flying squirrels ).
plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.
when the leaves are on the penetration is nice but thanx for your opinion!

Once a fox squirrel sees you you'd think they could fly, as fast as they can get out of range. That's when a 12ga comes in handy. 2 3/4" #4
I'm going to give it a shot this year then with the 12ga. Thanks for the info.
