yes - but only pre-contest, they don't sit at 4% all year long
what about lots of protien being bad for the liver and kidneys?
that is the "no" answer I gave first
d'oh sorry, reading comprehension (or maybe just vision problems) owns me.
it's a myth... high protein diets only hurt people who already suffer from kidney problems. You would know if you did.
BBer dying of heart attacks is due to their large muscle mass and steroid use. It is unrelated to the effects of protein consumption on their kidneys.
Tests on peopel with 50% kidney function have found that the upper range of protein intake their kidneys can handle without damage is around 70 grams per day. There is no scientific studies on the amount of protein that can be consummed by people with 100% kidney function.
Most bodybuilders that have died of heart problems died because in addition to all the gear, diuretics, etc they were on, they also loved the nose candy a little too much.
Or various other recreational substances. Nothing has shown that steroid use directly lead to death, although some bodybuilders have fucked their kidneys up but I think thats due more to the diuretics.
pffft im fine and i take everything....god dammit my nose is bleeding...i will be right back
