I found a guy selling a gen 3 Aries M7700 for $800. From what I can tell that's a steal. I'd be able to test it before I buy and all of that stuff. This is one little toy that I'd love to have. What would you do? :noes:

Yeah I know. This is just a guy that's trying to sell off most of his collection (huge collection) at good prices because he's getting old, though.

GenIII anything for $800 seems pretty unlikely unless the tube is old and busted.

The lpm rating on it is 51. I asked a guy on another forum about it and he said that it seemed like it was closer to 40 to him. I have no idea what that means, though.

    PVS-14 = 5 grand
    This is $800

Can you honestly tell me that the differance in quality between the two is worth the differance in price?

yes! without question, I've owned many diff night vision setups, I stopped posting on here because it was all pointless....arguing with 12yr olds and military drop outs is pointless

you can pickup a pvs-14 for about $1800 used on ebay

My dad's friend owns a security company and had an old night-vision scope lying around (not a gun scope, but like one-half-of-a-binocular-scope.) It was kinda dim, but it was badass. We were looking for animals in the woods behind his house...it was spooky.

It has apparently led you away from spelling, too.
