I'm tempted to buy a fat bar or two, and two dumbbell bars and bring them to my inadequate gym.
i was considering bringing a fat bar to my gym too.
but if i ever left my gym it would be awkward taking it back
I have all sorts of equipment at the gym. EliteFTS squat box, SSB, squat bar, etc. No problems, except I get annoyed when I see trainers using the box for step aerobics, s.o.b.
find a better gym?
you leave it there, and don't bring it home with you?
one day you're gonna grab it all and people are gonna think you're stealing
not many realy gyms anymore in philly
plus i only pay 35 bucks/month
Ha. My name is written on all of it, plus the gym owner knows that it's my stuff.
I bring my SSB to golds if I need to
They are pretty cool with it
what site do you guys recommend buying a thick bar from?>
My friends bring their axel bar with them to the gym. Nobody there cares though..
I RECOMEND EliteFTS
but otherwise no
I'll probably be dragging some chains in to the school gym when I start doing speed work leading up to the state meet....but they will be locked up in the back room when I'm not using them...
shipping is a bitch. are there places where i can buy a thick bar locally?
possibly. my cousin welds and lifts. maybe ill inquire, but i may just go with the link i posted
i figure its worth the money if it will help me get stronger
I think the Idea with the elite one is to use it during benching and pulling. If you do not wnat knurling making one would be significantly cheaper, and you can make it real easilly
The fat part sorta helps with the grip thing too.
I've actually thought about buying a fat bar for my gym too
imo my grip is relatively strong right now. im not being held back on any lift because of grip. but i would like stronger grip for the sake of itself
Werd, you will get no argument from me that no knurling isn't gonna make it harder.
I've been thinking about bringing in a squat box to my gym.
Otherwise just the typical personal equipment that most people have (dip belt and support belt)
you want revolving ends for Oly lifts but for what this bar is meant for it is fine.
i've been considering bringing clips
there's only 1 set of clips at my gym and it's annoying when i'm squatting and someone else is curling with 2.5s on the end of a 10lb bar
i think im gonna buy this. any reason not to?
