Hit spacebar and the damn things start playing.
haven't caused me any problems.
Yes, they are VERY annoying for me.
I have posted a thread about this in the frontdesk, but like every other reasonable suggestion, it's ignored:
Spacebar doesn't start playing them for me
If the first thing I do after opening a thread is hit "spacebar" (which I do frequently to "page down,") they all start playing at the same time.
Doesn't play when I hit space, what browser you using?
Edit: just double-checked. That's definately what's happening.
Well theres your problem.
space doesnt play them with FF.
No, I never play them
doesn't bother me
I hit spacebar a few times in this thread and nothing happened even though there is a video avatar in the thread, but I use a mac so I don't know, still it would be nice if they were set to a default volume of 0 that way they could play and not be annoying.
IE6? Good lord. Are you using Windows 2000?
flashblock has never been better
lol i never noticed. They do play, if i click on the avatars first, then hit space bar. But if i click on anywhere else on the page, spacebar only scrolls.
Default to zero volume would be acceptable.
IE7 is annoying as hell. I'm avoiding it as long as possible. That and Office 2007. MS products are becoming full of fail and AIDS.
The bother me at work because everyone seems to want to post thread responses with youtube vids. You tube is blocked at work so they don't show and AVs are dead also. Annoying at work.
what's annoying about IE7 for you? Ive been using it since the RC's and works fine for me.
I don't even notice them.
Opera has no such problem.

I use opera, and it is a problem. Check my thread in the front desk.
I don't have a problem with them playing, I just hate that if you have avs turned off, youtube avs still show.
I like my toolbar to look like this:
You cannot do that with IE7 as far as I can tell from having to use computers with IE7 at work.
The rearranging of the toolbars is very difficult. If there were an IE7 "skin" that replicated IE6 that would be okay.
I do not like tabbed browsing. I cannot figure out how to turn that off.
I'm sure there's more that I can't think of right now.
I like them.
