So..... past few years been playing blackjack online. Started off as a fun hobby, usually losing here and there. But over time each episode would just turn into betting more and ultimately losing. Well recently had a tipping point where I went on a huge bender and lost big. Pretty much banned myself from all the online casinos and trying to stay away. Anyone have stories on their run ins with gambling or know stories of ppl?

Not really. I've gotten drunk at a casino and lost more than I should, but never enough to actually be a problem. I've heard stories from friends that work at casinos about how much some people lose and the stories they hear after (that was rent, etc)

It's good that you're at least identifying that you have this problem, but please realize that crypto is just another form of gambling.

I agree. I think getting into crypto past few years has something to do with it. I still have some crypto I purchased in the past, but I am viewing it more as a high risk investment over the course of several years.

The scary thing is I never realized I even had it in me.

Go sign up for OpenDNS Home Free at https://signup.opendns.com/homefree

Set your DNS servers on your wireless router at home to the addresses that OpenDNS provides you after sign up

Go into the OpenDNS dashboard and block the Online Gambling category so that content gets blocked. You can even block Crypto, etc. It's a good way to start holding yourself accountable.

The high of winning is can be as addicting to some people as anything else. With the exception that your body can't physically become dependent on it. lol.

My dad used to gamble away all of the money we had to pay bills with when I was a small child. I mainly just hear the stories about it.

what you need to do is have a system so you never lose. You bet $5, if you lose you bet $10, if you lose you bet $20, if you lose you bet $40. Guaranteed to always win
