how would you rate them?
I used a 15 inch model a few years back, and it was alright. I can't remember the model number, but it was wrapped completely in a sock, and had pianno gloss finish on the top and bottom. It had its fair share of kick, I like my Klipsch RSW-15 more though.
They make an amazing tower... 12in power sub, along with a passive radiator + 3 way set up ftw.
speakers with built in subwoofers are meh. Ideal placement for subwoofers is rarely the same as the ideal placement for your left and right. By putting the subs in your main speakers you are going to have compromise with placement.
The internal subs in those speakers can't be big enough (most of the time) to compete with a good stand alone sub either.
some guy on myspace is using 4 supercube IIIs and i was kind of like
so i thought id post on OT
listen to them and get back too me... umm k thanks goodbye.
a 7.5" sub and 2 7.5" radiators?! I think ports may have been more efficient?!
edit: ok, maybe with 650w you can rock the house with a 7
Ummm, I have listened to them.
I never heard one, but Def Tech is notorious for overstating the capabilites of their speakers and subwoofers. I think that a SVS or HSU would probably represent a better value.
