Anything that acidic post workout tends to give me heartburn... I don't know why, maybe because of the empty stomach thing.

I used to mix oj and vanilla metrx post workout.
Fructose doesn't spike insulin. Fruits aren't all fructose but then again, another option would be better. Dairy is the best for this I think, it makes you release more insulin than it should considering the amount of sugar (because of the whey, which is insulinemic too).
Maltodextrin, dextrose, whey, a little salt, water.
Why would you take honey if you want an insulin spike?
i thought milk didnt cause an insulin spike. also, is an insulin spike really needed after doing weight training?
If you had a pre-workout meal then not really, as far as protein breakdown is concerned.
Then again we get back to the point that studies are done in overnight fasted people and are pretty much irrelevant to a shitton of people.
