how do you attach a forward grip to a non-quad rail handgaurd?
what kind of handguard is it?
m4 handguard with a double heat shield
post pics and/or MS paint diagram
interesting, but i've seen pics of people attach a picatinny rail to the bottom of a regular handgaurd, then attach whatever foregrip they want. thats what i was thinking of
real question is, why would you want to?
why wouldnt i want to?
two minutes after i made the exacty same thread on calguns, i get this reply:
as someone who has put something on their m4 handguard that you screw down to keep it tight, you screw too hard and you will crack the handguard. The amount of tightness you want on a picatinny rail is the same I have for my bipod adapter and i could hear the handguard stress and I backed off.
thats why I suggested the above.
i'll look into both, thanks
you can buy a pair of rails off ebay just like that and a grip from midway for about half that price
this looks like the same promag grip i have on mine
pair of rails (comes with a swivel for bipod mounting)
grip that i have
i'm aware. i was just commenting on the fact that someone posted the exact thing i was looking for
arent forward grips illegal in kalifornistan?
if i have a non-detachable magazine, i can basically do what i want, i.e. pistol grip, adjustable stock, flash hider, forward grip.
if have a detachable magazine, then all that goes out the window i'll be doing the bullet button configuration (which lets me *attach* a magazine, and detach it with *the use of a tool* )
someone posted a mag lock thats on the button that you use a key to take out the mag.
i was thinking about what you said with screwing the rail to the hardgaurd; could it have cracked because of the quality of the handgaurd? i plan on getting CMMG m4 handgaurds with a double heat shield.
mine are colt. they are the standard issue colt handguards. If you look at my range video I posted you can see teh ar with the bipod attached.
do you get any movement on the rail? in the thread over on CGN, someone said that it wasn't a soild set up and he got a lot of movement on his VFG
