Y’all get the brand Schweigan over there? Hoods are noisy as fuck. But I got a Schweigan. Goes great with any other brand cuz they sell em with no brand marked on it. But the big difference is the fact that the fan is mounted out on the roof rather than inside where you hear it. Almost dead silent as the lowest setting, quieter than other hoods when it’s at Max.

I typically only need the low setting which is like 200cfm so that keeps my house from imploding.

We've got a Costco cheapo "Valore" that cost like 600 bucks and it's a 700cfm fan. It's got a quiet setting that works pretty well and it's really all we use unless I'm searing something, and I'll put it to 1 or 2. We never use the max setting. It hoooowls
