Jeff,

Holy shit, this set is amazing. I quickly scrolled through to get the overall feel and when I saw #28, I was speechless. If the bride wanted dramatic, she got it! Looks like armageddon was coming (details on the that one please).

I love #1 (looked at it on FB) but I'd see if you can minimize the building and what not on the left).

#2 is awesome but the lines of the fence are slightly distracting...

I love #9...just the contrast of a regular day and then an awesome B&G strollin'

Framing on #11 is bauce!

#13: Not a huge fan of her face...looks like mid-blink/constipated.

#15/19:

#26: I really dig the shot, but it's so damn busy that the couple and specifically the bride gets lost in the blue cover of the boat.

#28: :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

This set has got to be one of my favorite ALL-TIME sets (not just from you). Mind me asking how you lit them? Details, details, please! :x:

thanks everyone for the comments!

most of the lit shots were with a 10' stand + B800 + vag mini with the bare reflector.. no diffusion. still wasn't powerful enough for every shot i attempted so i ordered a b1600 to try this weekend

in #28 the light is on a stand behind the left column, you can actually see it, but not so much in these 800px images

yeah, i usually have to be careful to not go too far. but in this case, as you know, old town provides a lot of different environments in a small area

Sweet! Thank you for the info and seriously, this set is nuts. I'm surprised no diffusion, just the reflector, looks solid!

I assume you had an assistant to help out or did you lug everything around yourself?

thx dude. i usually have an assistant but this time i lugged everything with me. i just sat the lightstand down when shooting natural light, wasn't bad at all.

.

I usually do not like flash photos without colored gel for WB, but love that shot.

Um... did you read what I wrote?

That IS with a coloured gel for WB... just completely offset from what it should be (strong blue), so when the image is balanced to neutralise the flash temperature, the ambient light shifts as well, thus the totally orange ambient

Unless he did it in post, which I doubt (falloff looks genuine)

Ahhhh, totally new to me. Thanks for splaining, for real!

Wondering if this would be easier with AWB or just tweaking WB in LR afterward.
