Congratulations on your wins.
Where did your dad put your medal then?
He put them with the rest. I used to have all my trophies and medals and stuff (grew up playing softball, volleyball, soccer, golf, riding horses, and then BJJ) in my closet. One day I came home and he'd created like a brag wall, lol, in the living room. So I assume it's going there.
He's proud! Let him "gloat"!
On that note, I, too, played volleyball (and field hockey) growing up... Could never play golf (not even putt-putt) even though I loved to go out to the driving range and give the balls a good whack. Were you on your High School's team?
Haha, I WAS my high school's team. I went to a fairly ghetto school so I was just the only one on it. The "coach" wouldn't coach me so I just practiced on my own. I was okay, never too outstanding.
This is probably going to be a very stupid question but I've got to ask, did you play against other HS teams?
Yes, I did. Played little matches every once in a while (didn't enter too many because of volleyball season, and we were serious in volleyball. Seasons would be like 22-1, 23-1) and did the regional and state championships. I always came in like 2nd or 3rd in the region and never that close to placing in state, but I never took it too seriously.
Proud of this though.
Winners of the 2006 RE/MAX Junior World Long Drive Championship on July 14-15 at Trophy Club CC in Roanoke, Texas, were:
Boys 16-18 Girls 16-18
Jamie Sadlowski Hillary Williams
St. Paul, Alberta Little Rock, Arkansas
420 yards 288 yards
You got a great pops for going through that, must have been pretty funny talk about it after it was all said and done.
