So I just got this new obo CPU and GPU, first thing I do is replace the tiny Asus chipset fan with a that large Zalman passive sinc. System seems to run fine but the chipset is insanely hot, between 55 - 60 degrees celcius. I got this temp by installing a probe from my musketeer down the top of the sinc at the base of the fins. Just in case you have not looked under your chipset fan and sinc it looks similar to a amd xp chip and not like an nforce2 solid black chip. Anyway I am waiting for a Koolance chipset cooler to arrive and hoping nothing blows although I can't seem to burn any dvd's now since the install of the new hardware and fresh install of XP SP2. Clone DVD rips fine, but when it comes to burn it freezes for about 5 mins then gives me an error and tells me I am stupid and hits me and sometimes even puts a cigarette out on my forearm.
    Any input would be appreciated.

What exactly is the error you get?

It is a combination of letters that I do not care to repeat (as in burn another coaster), when I looked it up ppl that had the same problem said the error is a media error. However switching media did not help any of the ppl with the same error. Elby has also not offered any ideas in my searches.

Going to try a different burner.

Installed water cooling on the chipset, nothing changed.
