Beats me. :o

We're pretty open to anything. We tend to go exploring when we vacation without others, so literally any suggestions will work.
Restos:

Starting with big money stops but I'll trow in some more local stuff too.

Joe Beef. Expensive as fuck but holy shit it's good. 99% chance you won't get a reso but why not try.

They also own Liverpool house which is next door and slightly less expensive. Still amazing.

They also own Vin Papillion and McKiernan but I haven't been to those 2 yet. Papillion is a wine bar and mckeirnan more like a lunch room type deal. All rave reviews.

Garde Manger is another pricey spot but again amazing food.

For more accessible/cheaper food I'd definitely recommend

Satay Brothers

Singapore fusion. Notre Dame location is their brick and mortar but they have a summer popup at Marche Atwater (farmers market) that's pretty good too.

For NY style pizza Adamo is a must.

Burgers I'm partial to uniburger.

PATATI PATATA is a cool little place. Tiny but decent fastish food.

Smoked meat either Schwartz or The Main

Or both. They're basically across the street.

Poutine!

Chez Claudette

Or La Banquise for all night drunken mistakes.

Bars! Well, pubs mostly.

Starting with the middle of the action, Cresent Street. Metro stations are Lucien L'allier on the orange line and Guy Concordia or Peel on the green. This is the main hub for the F1 downtown party.

We'll start of with winnies since it's there and it's got multiple options.

It's... well, a bar. It will be packed and there will be lines. They have beer and popcorn sometimes...

It's fine. There's a hooters down the block I think.

Whatever.

South of St Catherine you have some other options.

Hurley's Irish Pub

It's a pub. It's quite large. Popular but quieter option to grab a drink. And just a few doors down...

Brutopia

I love brutops. Lots of good beers, microbrewery, and f1 weekend friendly. Def worth a stop.

Other than that Cresent isn't really my jam. If you want clubs and music ... Google it. Idfk. :mamoru:

OK. Next stop Bishop street. One block over and you pass an SQDC at the corner of st cats if you want some of that sweet sweet legal pot.

Highlight here is grumpys. It's a dive bar. It's full of hipsters. You might get a live band playing bad music. Basically a perfect montreal treat.

Last but not least. By far. And will probably be near impossible to get into is a speakeasy called cloakroom.

Figure it out yourself. More fun that way.

There's loads of cool and unique places around montreal. One of my all time favorites is St. Elizabeth.

It's near Berri UQAM metro. Their outside terrace is awesome.

N sur Mackay is another cocktail spot. Haven't been in ages but remember it being quite good.

That's about all I have for downtown drinks. There's bars Basically everywhere so you won't be left thirsty if none of these are your style.

I don't know where people live in Canada, and I assume everyone has opinions on Montreal and Quebec.
I’ve been to Canada 4 or 5 times, and I’ve never been to Montreal or Toronto.

And my dad and I are talking about going up there again, and it still won’t be to Quebec or Ontario.

Shame. Quebec is gorgeous.
I'll get to Quebec at some point, same with Ontario.

My dad hasn't ever been to PEI, Nova Scotia, or Newfoundland (not sure about New Brunswick), and neither have I. So we've talked about possibly going up there around September.
