I just bought airfare for vacation to the Carolinas in April and tickets to the Freaks on Parade tour in August (Filter, Ministry, Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie). :bowdown:

I may just want to lay around my house right now and get to feeling better, so I'll spend money on things to do this summer.

OP:
I'm fixing to do hair thing again. Going with Cherry Crush.
Hair is damaged from last OTC hair dye and my grays are coarse making it probably look worse than it is.
I have never used Olaplex and want to know your experiences.

I was interested in No.3 for now, to repair and prep for dye.
Is this a good idea?
Is one treatment probably enough to get in shape for color? Then more treatments after?

Never used it but when I goggles I see there I'd a lawsuit 👀

Just make sure you strip your hair if you have dyed it with box colour.

Also what shade of colour is that?! Are you going for a vibrant red? 😍

I'd hoped to be able to lay down and take a nap after my noon conference call ended, because sitting upright all morning hurts by now.

Of course we've lost cooling in a large data center with some of my gear, so there goes my nap.

I don't use box stuff so I don't have info to give. I bleach with quick blue and prefer a tube of pravana for color.

Explain this to me like I'm a 40+ year old woman who has only dyed hair a handful of times from a box.
I never thought about bleach, I thought it was bad. I don't know anything about anything.
I don't want to make my hair fall apart.

A few things :

You probably don't need to bleach with a dark blonde tone, but use a colour remover instead.
Red wears out very fast. I'm dying mine every 6 weeks and only washing once or twice a week if I can. It also bleeds on everything so get some dark pillowcases lol
Blues are hard to remove from your hair, so make sure you really like the tone.
Make sure you understand how to apply colour... ie separate sections and work back to front... scalp first and then do ends last. Bleaching is opposite.. ends first and head last or you will burn your hair off.

You shouldn't get orange tones if you're not bleaching.. I'd just apply a colour remover then do the red. My roots got full coverage without bleaching
