This is the second artistic thing that I've done. Second time using paint (acrylic to be exact). My first one was a Munny. I'm not very artistic, so I'm trying to take things slow. My dad is basically an artist, so maybe there is just some untapped talent there. What do you guys think? FYI: this is not my design, I just reproduced it. http://www.whatisblik.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=B&Product_Code=TH-110 Acrylic paint on plywood with no primer. I got a few questions, though. Is there some kind of varnish or sealer I should use? I'm not very worried about it fading or anything, it can if it wants, I don't really care since its just my first one. Anybody have any suggestions on paint brush SETS? I have some nylon ones which are okay, but I have a feeling natural ones will be way better. How hard is canvas to work on? I think my next project will be on 24 x 36 canvas. Any tips or suggestions? Any tips on using acrylic paint on wood or canvas? Anything is helpful since I'm really new. Thanks guys! Oh! One more thing. Looking at this peice, is this something you would put in your room. I mean, on a quality stand point, not if you actually like the painting. and yes, I plan on cutting the board to lose that hole. Or is the quality just to crude?
