I am dieting seriously as of yesterday and it sucks, just want to get any feedback on what I could do better.....
    (morning Run T, Th, Sat)
    Meal 1

    75 grams protein (shake)
30 grams carbs (oatmeal w/ a little splenda and sometimes raisins)
    < 10 grams fat
    16 oz water
    2x multivitamin
    1.5 grams vitamin C
    500 kcal

    (weight training T, Th, Sat)

    Meal 2

3-4 chicken breasts (65-75 grams protein)
    30 grams carbs (oatmeal again)
    10 grams fat
    16 oz water

    500 kcal

    Meal 3
1/2 pound extra lean (7%) ground beef cooked on the foreman (50-60 grams protein
10 grams carbs 1 tablespoon pasta sauce on the patties
30 grams carbs 1 serving oats (tomorrow I am cooking rice, just lazy so far)
    12 grams fat
    16 oz water

    475 kcal

    MMA WORKOUT (M,W,F)

    Meal 4
16 grams fat (1 tbspn efa blend)
    75 grams protein (shake)
    0 carbs
    a shitload of water

    450 KCal

    Meal 5
16 grams fat (1 tbspn efa blend)
60 ish grams protein (3 chicken breasts)
    0 carbs
    16 oz water

    400 Kcal

    Meal 6
16 grams fat (tbspn efa blend)
    36 grams protein (2 eggs + 6 whites)
    8 grams fat (egg)

    300Kcal

so about 350-375 grams protein total
    about 55 grams fat total
    about 100 grms carbs total

    about 2600 total Kcal

I am at 270 and 13-14% bf, I plan on cutting down to 255 over the next 6 weeks. I am burning about 4500 calories a day as a conservative estimate. I don't really know if this will be too much of a deficit? It puts me on track to lose 3-4 pounds a week.

oh and as a side note, I don't eat any carbs after my workouts so some days I get 2 meals with carbs and on MMA days, I get 3 meals leading up to the work with carbs.

so far only two days....I have until November before my next fight, but I want to cut quick and have plenty of time to adjust at this weight.

I do need more fat, but i have the protein that high for a reason. I am thinking of raising the total cals by about 500, mainly efa's?

it looks decent to me... any supps? ECY, ect? maybe try to bump calories up another 300-400 over teh course of the day. I'd stick to this, see how the weight comes off, you should aim for 2 lbs a week after the initial waterweight loss

as much as you guys might cringe at this, I don't mind losing some lbm.....it is just demanding too much oxegyn in the ring.

Actually I think it looks great, you shouldn't lose too much LBM on that, but at your size you will probably lose weight fast if you have the dedication to stick with it. I say do it for two weeks and report back on your weight loss.

i think its fine...might want a high day every 4th day if you get stale..also if you feel you need more energy drop the protein some an up the fats. Otherwise i think its a good plan to lose fast. I dont think you will lose much lbm either. If you start getting blood sugar crashs let me know. We can work around them

Your post workout meal maybe add some steamed broccolli for the nutritional value as well as it is a great source or carbs for after your workout.

Thanks bro, I am just trying to get used to being extremely hungry for the first few days. Then I will let you guys know how I feel and maybe I will need to adjust. As far as a high day do you mean a higher carb, lower fat day to replenish glycogen or more like a higher calorie day so I trick my body into not entering starvation mode? I was thinking of a low fat, high carb day once a week.

definately, all the water is already leaving....god I am hungry

I know mang, I was just playing the game....I'll be the first one to say that getting big numbers out of gear is an artform, not something that is a given or an automatic.

Anyway, yeah I would love to be able to be 300 pounds and fight for 5 minutes straight but the two don't go together for me. I just watched my film and I had several opportunitites for a knockout in my last fight but I had nothing left in the 3rd round to finish with. I want to know that no matter when the opportunity presents itself i will have gas in the tank to finish a fight. Nothing worse than letting an MMA match go to decision.
