what engines are they putting in the 09 RWD impalas?
LS2 I imagine
V6 will come with that world engine they've been working on
they'll be on the Zeta platform in '09 along with the Camaro/G8/GTO
more info on world engine?
are you talking about the company world that makes the 454 SBC's?
yeah, i was doin a bit of research on that lastnight, but I couldnt find anything on what engine they were thinking of putting in
Probably a whole new V8 motor they have in their pipeline to release.
Well there are 2 of them. The L850 that's in the colbalts and whatnot currently and the new V6, which I believe is the LZ9 they're using in the Pontiac G6 now. It has VVti
humm, i hope they dont do something stupid and put a shitty engine in it.
i wonder how many different models they will have for it
I hope not. Replacing the LSx based v8 motors would be the biggest mistake GM could possibly make.
427 big block supercharged and factory NOS'd
ohh, i was thinking gm was working with the company "world" to make the engines
no no "Wold engine" is what automakers refer to cross company/cross platform engines. Those engines will be used by everyone from Saab to Toyota.
Chrysler is doing something similar w/ a diesel engine they're gonna share w/ Subaru maybe? I forget.
Isn't the new "world engine" using holden's DOHC 3.6?
is gm designing them, or what?
http://tinyurl.com/wklj8 < info on the 3.6.
It's built in 3.2 guise too.
Do you think GM will be switching from the Pushrod design for their next big engine? Or just continuing with developing the LS series.
i hope they dont drop pushrods
I huurd GM is only gonna be pushin 35psi on it too...I sent them an email and told'em to crank the boost up some...
My PERSONAL opinion, they ought to break out the old V6 from the GN's and GNX's and update the heads a lil and slap on a couple more cylinders...
