Try not to shoot too much of the rider's back. If you're going to pan, keep the riders helmet in focus. People don't want to see only parts of the bike sharp.

Try upping your shutter speed a little so more of the rider is in focus. 125th is a little too slow.

Yeah I varied the shutter a little, I more or less was experimenting. There weren't too many exciting spots to shoot from for general public access......so that explains the majority of rear shots.

Yeah, funny part is.....I was trying to shoot a particular rider in that pack. I had no idea how uniform those 4-5 quads were until I upped the pic. :)

Yeah, Not having a media pass sucks. Looks like you have an eye for it. Try contacting some local magazines and seeing if you can get a pass. You'll be amazed at the improvement in your shots. :)

Word. What do you exactly mean by "local" magazines? Papers or what? Don't really have any local MX publications out here. I've always wondered what it would take to get a media pass also. Do I give up my rights to the photos I take to anyone? (a mag that gives me the pass)

    Good shots!

Put a blank line between photos when you post them though.
