supposed to compete w/ xtend
hay guyzz im drinking my appletini chain'd out babyyy!
$28 vs $42, you guys are always asking for cheap xtend.
60 servings vs 90. It's 2/3 the price for 2/3 the product. I haven't seen any lecuine malate studies. The studies they cite didn't use their ingredients. I'd rather have the CM/Glutamine from Xtend than random other ingredients.
Then again, this is coming from a company who intentionally laced their venom with perscription drugs.
off topic but what do you think of this new intrain product from controlled labs?
good call on the servings...
anything else about ALRI except I liked their Hyperdrive, killed my appetite when dieting.
Looks like a bunch of cool words to try to trick people into thinking it will be some miracle product. Lecuine works. Everyone knows this. It taste like ass, but it works. 2.5g, not enough IMO. Granted, it has other things. I don't want to take WMS while working out personally. If taking this, I'd want 2 scoops, so 40 bucks for 20 servings? Not me.
I'm big on basics and spending as little as possible on supplements. That's always been my stance. Stick to what science says works. When you vary from that, who knows wtf you're getting. Half these companies don't test what goes in their product when they come up with these new magical ingredients. There is usually no testing standard for it. You just have to hope it's in there.
You want REAL bcaa's cheap:
fyi it tastes like poop
I just bought that and the L-Glutamine Powder, when should I take the L-Glutamine? With my PWO?
heard it's impossible to mix
dilute expensive xtend with cheap pure bcaa ftw
taking glutamine orally is pointless for bodybuilding purposes...
bunch of crap
no sustanon 250 no care
LG Sciences has a BC+EAA mix, tried my sample tonite, wasn't that bad tasting. About a dollar less then the small xtend. No big one .... yet. I'll be sticking with xtend I think.
To max your dollar, you can use 2 scoops of xtend and add 7g of regular bcaa's. Take advantage of the flavor system in xtend. Use warm water with bcaa's, always helps. Splurge and get a good shaker, you won't regret it.
I love glutamine. I have a high stress life. I don't mind keeping my immune system up. It's not a bodybuilding supplement per se. It can give you some amazing room clearing gas if you take way too much though. When I do feel like I'm getting sick, I mega dose the shit out of it. For me, it works.
I've been using Purple Wraath for a while, really like it.
I've been doing this for awhile, I use xtend and the bcaa's from trueprotein.
Whats your take on glutamine for the healthy athlete. I never take it anymore, have a kilo of the raw columbian uncut in my pantry now.
How many g's you take of that sutff per/day
I take 10-20g per day. I do use xtend, 4-5 scoops per workout. I'm trying to get better about using it during the day as well. I'm attempting to stay lean and following a cut style diet, so that's the reason. Normally I wouldn't do that.
Would I go out and buy it if I were a consumer on a limited budget (talking glutamine), no. Since I have access to every ingredient on earth, yes I take it. I would buy it during a big season change and everyone is getting sick. I hate getting sick. During cold/flu season I'm taking at least 20-30g per day. Usually split into 3 doses morning/afternoon/night It is worth 30 bucks a month for me to not get sick.
If you have some, save it for the season change or during a time when you're most likely to get sick.
ok 1 more thing, do you count your bcaa' toward your protein and cal total? probably not, Justin Harris told me its great but I have to count it toward my total so I just didnt take it because that was 20g less of real food I could have. I just take 3-4 scoops in water during my wo now that Im not dieting.
I don't know. I think that's stressing over nothing. If you are at a "calorie max" and the extra calories you take in are from free form amino's, I can't possibly see this having a negative effect on anyone.
We got a WNBF pro ready last year. He was going through a damn large xtend container every 4 days or so. Towards the end of his contest prep he was at 1500 calories, competing in the mid 160's. There is no doubt it made a significant different, especially for a natural who tends to lose assloads of mass during contest prep.
Now doing that is NOT realistic and is an extreme circumstance, so don't say I recommended that stupid crap .
so if somebody had the resources you are suggesting adding extend into your water all day every day during a hard cut?
Still can't justify to myself buying BCAA's if you're not in a big time caloric deficit
I would agree with the exception of the "big time" quote. Any calorie deficit, it's needed IMO. Often people can cut money from their other supplements in order to get BCAA's. When you look at the amount of money that people waste on BS supplements, they could be taking something that adds real value.
