Beef jerky is expensive (like $20/lb).
Anyone know where I can get a shit-ton of it for cheap?
make it yourself

I like www.bigjohnsbeefjerky.com
I made my own. It was better then the store bought stuff and it was just as good.
so was it just as good or better?
both obviously can't you read
Buy a dehydrator, make your own. It's a shitload cheaper and you control whats in it.
Ahahaha I was really tired last nite.
any of you guys made jerky before? I dont want to waste $40 to find out the stuff i make tastes like shit.
I make it all the time. I use hamburger now though instead of steak, easier to make. Cutting the steak can be a real bitch. Mostly I use kikkoman soy sauce to marinate mine. Comes out great.
Do you use a pre-made store dehydrator or did you use the same home-buit setup as the video?
I just crack my ovens door open a little bit for ~3 or so hours and let it dehydrate. Comes out PERFECT.
I put my oven on the lowest setting (175) for a few hours, flipped once in the middle.
anybody ever try this standing fan and heater filter method?
do u use a fan with this method? isnt that cooking it instead of just dehydrating it?
No I left the door open. At 175 it's more drying then cooking .. especially when it's 110 outisde.
sams club has jack links beef jerky bags 1lb for $10. good deal imo
WHOA WHOA WHOA BRO. You can't just come on here and ask for a source. Its posts like this that really piss off all the vets and mods, bro. Bro, for all we know you could be LE. You gotta prove yourself to be a good bro, bro. Post up some stats. Whats your cycle history? Whats your bf%? What are your numbers? Post up a pic, bro.
All you noobs out there take a lesson from this. Read the stickies first, bros. We're all in this together, don't piss off bronation.
Don't PM me for sources or source checks.

I mean, I've dabbled in the past with a few cycles of dried chicken and turkey products - maybe a Slim Jim here or there - but nothing serious. I'm lookin to take my game to another level, bros. I know it's not kosher to just come in here looking for a source, but man I'm desperate. I might even try to cook some up at home like others here have suggested. This stuff is in tents, so I want to make sure I'm doing it right. That's all bros. No disrepect intended broly bros. Thanks in advance.
