As I posted earlier in the year, I am starting out with Muay Thai. Not to become a fighter or anything, but get fit before looking into other things within Muay Thai and Jui Jitsu. I don't think I'm in the right shape to start Jui Jitsu yet, so I'm trying to shed the extra pounds with Muay Thai. So far, with cleaning my diet (not entirely) and training 2-4 times a week, I've managed to shed 15 lbs in about 1.5 months. The first 1 month was just getting my muscles back in the habit of working out. I think I have about 30-40lbs more that I could lose before feeling "great" about trying my hands at Jui Jitsu. I'd love to hear some similar stories because they keep me motivated and trying that much harder at every training session.
